Antoinette
has been trained as a chef and has gained wide experience with all types of
cooking from the fast food to the very high quality menus. She is experienced
in cooking for numbers ranging from one to one hundred, and is very experienced
in developing dishes which are slightly different. She uses fresh local produce
as much as is possible, and is capable of preparing meals for many different
diets including Vegetarian and Gluten Free.
Ian
is a trained brewer of beer and after working in the south of England for different
breweries he moved to Tomatin Distillery near Inverness as Assistant Manager.
After 10 years the family moved to the Island of Islay where Ian was Brewer
at Laphroaig and Ardbeg distilleries. After a further 10 years they moved to
Glencadam Distillery. When the distillery was closed in 2000 Iantook early retirement.
Ian
and Antoinette purchased the Ardconnel Guest House in Grantown-on-Spey and ran
this 5 star establishment successfully until moving to Spain in 2003.
